One God, One Love, and Defining Decisions

“We only make a few defining decisions in life, and then we spend the rest of our lives managing them” – Mark Batterson.

Looking at I Corinthians 8:6 we see that “for us there is one God, the Father. All things are from Him, and we exist for Him. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ. All things are through Him, and we exist through Him.”  We have only one God and Savior Jesus Christ. Nothing and no one exists apart from Him, and we are reminded here that “we exist for Him.” He is creator, and He alone breathes life into everything and everyone, and forgives our sin, out of His love for us.

Therefore, because we serve this one and only true God of Love, who is Love and Savior, it is up to us to decide to walk in this very same love for He is love. Today let’s make the defining decision to seek His direction and instruction for responding in love in our relationships; to be people of grace as we choose to see others through His eyes. May we seek Him as our way to manage our life defining decision to walk in love.

Lord, You are God, and we worship You alone. We know that you are love; therefore we know that your standard for relationship is love. Please help us to be wise and to be a conduit of your love. Amen.

“Turn my eyes from looking at what is worthless; give me life in Your ways” Psalm 119: 37.

  1. Sometimes simple is so powerful, and I don’t mean simple as trite. Your comment is vital. The prayer is moving. And Psalm 119:37 fits not only here, but just about everywhere and everyone.
    Peace
